About Ergon

Managed AI agents from Sophrono, the AI implementation firm. Sophrono’s engineers build the agents, and Ergon’s operators run them every working day for businesses under 500 employees.

The name

Every agent has one job, and a person who answers for it.

Ergon is Greek for “work.” Aristotle used it for the task a thing exists to do: a thing is good when it does its ergon well.

That is how we staff agents. Each one has a single, written job on its Role Card. An Ergon operator runs it every working day, and a named person on your team keeps every decision that commits the business.

A Sophrono service

Built by Sophrono’s engineers. Run by Ergon’s operators.

Sophrono is an AI implementation firm. Its engineers design and build agentic systems around business logic, trusted data, and human authority.

Ergon is Sophrono’s managed services line. It takes those systems into daily operation for a role or a team, and adds the operators who run them. The engineering standard is the same, and so is the rule that authority stays with people.

If you want a system built and handed to your own team, Sophrono is the place to start. If you want the work done for you, start here.

Who is accountable

People own every decision that matters.

Your named approver

Sets the rules, approves consequential actions and releases, and accepts each outcome against the agreed criteria.

An Ergon operator

Runs your agents every working day, resolves exceptions within policy, and reports what happened, including what went wrong.

An Ergon engineer

Maintains the system, turns corrections into tests, and prepares each change for your approval.

How an engagement runs

From a free call to agents running every day.

Each step has its own price and its own decision.

  1. A first conversationAsk an engineer is a free 15-minute call. You hear which parts of a role agents could take on.
  2. One role in codeThe Role Diagnostic is $750: one hour of agent coding, the code, a Role Card, and a one-hour consultation.
  3. The system, scopedThe Workforce Blueprint assigns every duty, prices the build and the operations, and starts one agent running.
  4. Run every dayManaged Agent Operations: agents do the work, operators run them, and your people approve what matters.

Fit

When a managed role makes sense, and when it is too early.

A short call settles this for your role. These are the conditions we look for first.

A good fit

  • A role whose work repeats every day or week
  • Rules a person could write down, even if nobody has yet
  • Systems the work reads from and writes to
  • A named person who can approve decisions and releases

Too early

  • The work changes every time, or has no owner
  • Nobody can say what a correct result looks like
  • Most of the role is judgment, relationships, or care
  • The decision is still whether to use AI at all: start with the free call

What we need from you

  • The people who do the work today, for interviews
  • Access to the systems in scope, at agreed permission levels
  • A named approver with time to review exceptions
  • Examples of past work a person has checked

What you can expect

Clear prices and written limits.

  • Published first steps: a free call and the $750 Role Diagnostic
  • Scope, price, approvers, and acceptance criteria agreed in writing before each step
  • A reply from an engineer, by email, within two business days of receipt
  • Human operators on every agent in daily use
  • Reports in business terms: volume, exceptions, corrections, and cost

Full engagement terms are finalized in a Master Services Agreement.
